Patriotism Essay

What does patriotism mean to you? Does it mean you like the New England Patriots or does it mean you are loyal to your country? It should mean loyalty to your country.
The definition of patriotism is devoted love, support, and defense of one’s country; that is the patriotism that everyone should have. Say someone does illegal drugs you are not loyal or patriotic to your country because you broke a law. Everyone that lives in America should be patriotic because you should be loyal to your homeland.
If you break a law you are not a patriot because you did not respect or listen to your countries rules. Say you smoke marijuana, drink and drive, or murder someone you are not a patriot. You shouldn’t break the laws of United States of America.
Martin Luther King Jr. and George Washington are two very big patriotic icons. Being a patriot is important because it means you are a nice person to your country. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream that black people and white would be treated in equality. George Washington led our young country in to battle and won freedom from the mother country England.
Being patriotic is important because if you become patriotic it may help you out with other things maybe like, someone sees you do a good deed they want to be your friend. You should also be patriotic by liking the New England Patriots but that is off topic. If you live in America you should have to sign a document of some sort every year that says you will be patriotic or loyal to your country that year.
Everyone should be loyal to your country because it is a good thing to do. Most of the time if you are not you’ll go to jail. So it is your choice good deeds live free, bad deeds means you are in jail.

A young man and woman are at a train station standing under a starlit sky.  It’s a nice breezy spring morning with a soft mist.  The couple eating strawberries and pineapples, all the luscious fruits you can imagine.  The train station is the biggest in the world; many say it’s overly luxurious, with huge cafes and huge stores.  The smell of evergreens fills the train station.  Roses fill the train station all over walls and windows.  The train goes to the most romantic city in the world, Paris, France.
